Opening of IAC Benelux traveling expo in Aveiro, Portugal.
On Saturday October the 18th the traveling exposition “Fusion of Visions” of the IAC Benelux group opened at an Aveiro Museum in Portugal, the Museu da Cidade, City Museum with my “Soul Disks” participating.
Unfortunately, I can not attend. I have some exhibits to attend in the Netherlands.

Invitation for Exposition and Ceramic Fair in October 2025
I invite you to come to the
- “Clay in Movement” Exhibition at the FRANX Artgarage in Zoetermeer, Vlamingstraat 1-3, Netherlands. 50 works are chosen in this competition/exposition by a competent jury for the 45-year anniversary of the “KLEI” Dutch magazine. The exhibition is from October 4 - October 26, 2025. The opening of the exposition in on Oktober 4 at 4pm/16 hours.
- At the end of October there is a ceramics fair related to this anniversary with 11 nominated ceramic artists on October 25 - 26, 2025 in the FRANX Artgarage. I am one of the participants.
- November 1 - 2, 2025 I open my doors of the SwanCeramics Art Gallery at my house for the “KunstOpentDeuren” artists tour. It is a new Art Event in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. You can try out to throw a pot on the wheel or sculpting a little pot.
I hope to see many people to enjoy the ceramic arts.

Today, I received an email with the notification that I am accepted in the competition “CLAY in Movement”, which is a competition of the Dutch Magazine “CLAY” “KLEI”.
In this magazine, which I received today, is an announcement of this competition “CLAY in Movement” and the exposition of the 50 final participants at the FRANX Kunstgarage from Oct 4 to Oct 26, 2025.
Also, there is mentioned that this coincides at the end of the exhibition with a first indoor ceramic market organized by Kunstgarage FRANX in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands with
11 nominated participants of which I am one.

Exposition at Andenne with the IAC International Benelux group
I am a participant of the “Perspective” Ceramic Art Andenne Festival with the IAC Benelux group traveling exhibition: “Fusion of Visions” from May 17 to June 15, 2025. The exhibition presents a wide range of artistic styles, techniques and visions, offering the public a unique perspective on contemporary ceramics as a multifaceted art form.
”Vision”: is essential for artists guiding the development of ideas across a spectrum of styles;
”Fusion”: enhances individual creativity and contributes to a shared artistic direction;
”Confusion”: remains and integral part of the creative process leading to new and meaningful work.

2025 Art Fair Eindhoven

Excellence Award from the 2nd world ceramic teapot art competition
Today, I received the news that my “Swan Teapot and Cup” won the “Excellence” Prize in the 2nd World Ceramic Teapot Art Competition 2024 in Yixing, China!!!! I thank the organization of the competition for awarding me this prize, I am grateful and happy for this recognition.

"Azulejo" IAC Members Exposition in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal
There was a members TILE exposition of the IAC during the conference in the conference hall in Caldas da Rainha. The tile needed to be 20cm x 20cm with the colors white and blue. Everyone had done an exquisite job and it looked great on the wall.

My “Hip-Hop": let’s Dance sculpture is in the September-October issue of the Dutch KLEI Magazine in the section of the “Klei Galerij” with the subject: human figure.
New artworks
I made some new work: the Mishima inlay technique combined with the Horsehair Raku burning and spraying of Ferric Chloride. I cut my designs with a knife for getting the straight lines (not easy with the added grog in the clay) and with some other fine cutting tools I take off a layer of 1 - 2 mm of the white clay. I fill in this space with black clay. Of course, the clay is leather hard and I may even wet it a little more to get good adherence. I tested different kinds of clay to get the same shrinkage rate.

EXPOSITION IN THE NATIONAL TREE MUSEUM GIMBORN IN DOORN, NETHERLANDS
De expositie “Ode aan de Natuur”, georganiseerd door de Werkgroep Ode, is geopend in het Nationaal Bomenmuseum Gimborn Arboretum van 8 April tot 4 Juni, 2023.
Voor de 5de keer wordt deze keramiek expositie georganiseerd in de prachtige bomentuin van het museum. 43 keramisten tonen ruim 100 recente werken.
Ik sta daar met drie grote vazen bewerkt met de gegraveerde slipware techniek.
Het is dagelijks geopend van 9.00 tot 19.00 uur. Tussen 11.00 en 17.00 uur geeft een exposant desgevraagd uitleg over de keramiek.
The Dutch Workgroup “Ode” and the National Tree Museum Gimborn organize together for the 5th time a ceramic exposition in this beautiful tree garden of the museum from April 8 to June 4, 2023. 43 ceramic artists show about 100 pieces of work with the theme “Ode to Nature”.
