4th Exhibition of the traveling group Expos from IAC Benelux

The 4th exhibition of the traveling IAC Benelux group “Vision and Fusion” is part of the 5th Biennale “De Mains de Maitres Luxembourg” and opens on November 18 - November 25, 2025. The address is: 19, Avenue de la Liberte, L-1160 Gare, Luxembourg.

The fourth stage of the IAC Benelux Members' exhibition, Fusion of Vision, showcases the work of 23 renowned artists from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg. The exhibition aims to highlight the richness and innovative diversity of ceramic art in the Benelux region, showcasing a variety of styles, techniques and artistic perspectives. The concepts of vision and fusion characterise our current era. As IAC Benelux members, the artists are connected to a network of international artists via the Academy. Yet they remain individual artists with their own vision. At the same time, they forge connections between different cultures through ceramics. Their works reflect the contrast between connection and confusion, showcasing the diverse coherence of ceramic art.

SOUL DISKS

Exposition at Andenne with the IAC International Benelux group

I am a participant of the “Perspective” Ceramic Art Andenne Festival with the IAC Benelux group traveling exhibition: “Fusion of Visions” from May 17 to June 15, 2025. The exhibition presents a wide range of artistic styles, techniques and visions, offering the public a unique perspective on contemporary ceramics as a multifaceted art form.
”Vision”: is essential for artists guiding the development of ideas across a spectrum of styles;
”Fusion”: enhances individual creativity and contributes to a shared artistic direction;
”Confusion”: remains and integral part of the creative process leading to new and meaningful work.

We will be located in the Maison des Associations.

New artworks

I made some new work: the Mishima inlay technique combined with the Horsehair Raku burning and spraying of Ferric Chloride. I cut my designs with a knife for getting the straight lines (not easy with the added grog in the clay) and with some other fine cutting tools I take off a layer of 1 - 2 mm of the white clay. I fill in this space with black clay. Of course, the clay is leather hard and I may even wet it a little more to get good adherence. I tested different kinds of clay to get the same shrinkage rate.
